Time And memory

Full-Dome Installation
OXO Bargehouse28–31 March 2019

A poetic short film created for full-dome projection.
Drawing on fragmented recollections of northern landscapes, the work melts together past memory and present experience to explore how place is reshaped inside the mind.

Time and Memory is an immersive dome projection that traces the passage from remembered forests to the stark clarity of a recent journey. The film began as a distortion of childhood impressions of woodland and evolves into scenes captured during a trip to Iceland in March 2018 — wide open plains, brooding coastline, and a sense of scale that slips between intimacy and vastness.

Projected across the dome’s surface, these images fold and refract, suggesting how memory warps beautiful places over time.

The work asks: when we return to a remembered landscape in our minds, what gets lost, what grows, and how will that memory continue to change?

Artist note

I’m fascinated by the way landscapes become personal myth — familiar places that slowly rearrange themselves inside memory.
